Hello Monday

It’s Mondaaay! This is our last full week of school and then the kids will have a four day week next week and two half days the week after – so 11 days left in total. The end of the year is always bittersweet because of the anticipation of summer, but it also makes me a little sad because it means the kids will be moving up to the next grade level. Pass the tissues!

Last week we celebrated Eliza at her 4th grade Celebration of Learning Night, and it involved a little concert, too. It was earlier last week that I had realized that this was the first “concert” that Eliza has ever had with her school (not including Preschool). Her kindergarten class never really did anything, and I remember being really sad about it, and then her first grade year was cut short due to Covid. I still can’t believe how much time has gone by since 2020 and how much the kids have grown.

Anyhow, Eliza did great and she even had a speaking part and girlfriend absolutely rocked it!

Our girly girl is growing too fast. She didn’t have any shoes to wear, so she wore my flip flops – time is a thief!

Jane wanted a picture, too!

On Thursday, Jane had her first Tball practice. This was entirely her idea! We love that she wanted to play Tball! She’s the first kid out of the three to give it a try and she did awesome and immediately got busy learning how to throw a ball and hold a bat! She’s so willing to jump right in for just about any activity – I love this about her!

The hat. The ponytail. The way I told her to hold her glove and then she ended up holding her glove like this! So cute!!

There she goes…

She stood in the spot you see below… and for a bit of the time she was turned backwards. LOL! She was getting the hang of it pretty quickly though.

Eliza at one point during the week had made us cookies before bed. She left us this sweet little note, which was the cutest thing EVER!

I made and shared this Father’s Day Massage Shirt and put it on Pinterest! It feels good to be back creating fun little things!

The kids loved giving Jon a massage…aaaaaaaaand then they ran the cars on his head – so funny!

On Saturday, we headed to East Lansing to the matinee of, Wicked! Jon and I have seen it about three times before, but it was the kids’ first time, as well as my mom’s first time! We were thrilled for my mom and the kiddos! Jane did awesome throughout the performance, Henry and Eliza were completely blown away at intermission and my Mom cried at one point! So I’d say it was a great success!!! We love Wicked!

Eliza’s science teacher was sitting behind us and another local friend and her kids were sitting pretty close to us, too! So fun!

Intermission smiles!!!

I made sure to grab a picture of all of us!

After the show, we went to Chick-Fil-A for dinner! It all worked out so well! We had the best time!

On Sunday, we took to the lake! The kids got in their first tube ride of the season and Jon went for a ski ride!

I watered our plants in our new front landscaping and made sure to “stop and smell the roses…” Our irises are smelling scrumptious! I love, love, love them!

Our Knock Out Roses are doing well, too!

It’s almost hard to believe our week last week was a slower one for us over here. We have another few days ahead of us this week and then we plan to mostly chill over the long Memorial Day weekend and we simply can’t wait!

Thanks, as always, for stopping by! I appreciate each and every visit! Have a lovely day, friends!

Marie 🙂
