Weekend Favorites

Happy Friday! Our kids are off from school today and it’s a much needed break from all the busyness. I hope to catch up on laundry (womp womp), we need to get Jane’s blood drawn for her upcoming allergy appointment and we have a cross country meet tomorrow morning. Just enough to get us moving, but not enough to overwhelm our long weekend.

As for what I’m loving lately, we bought a cast iron Dutch oven during Prime Days and it arrived yesterday! So fast! I immediately unboxed it and washed it.

Homemade butternut squash soup was my plan for dinner yesterday without even knowing that the Dutch oven would be arriving, so imagine my excitement as I was cutting up onions and the mailman delivered this! It was the epitome of excitement for this 41 year old! 😆

After making soup, I made my first loaf of homemade artisan bread by following a recipe I found on Pinterest and by watching a YouTube video on the steps of how to use the Dutch oven for bread making!

Theeeeen, Jon and I made one more loaf last night for us to share while watching a movie! So, yeah, it’s a definite new favorite of ours! 😅😂

These pajamas are my Best Seller from last week! I finally placed my order, too, and they should be arriving tomorrow! I can’t wait. I’ll definitely report back!

I figured these would be PERFECT for Christmas (and the days leading up to Christmas). I can imagine snuggling up with a pretty mug full of coffee while wearing these and feeling all Christmas-y!

In January, I set out on a journey of attempting to read 52 books for the year. I believe my last two books were books number 32 and 33. The Midnight Library was sooooo good – it’s kind of like “It’s a Wonderful Life” meets “The Matrix.”

Flawless is part of a five book series – it’s about a city girls meets a rodeo cowboy… yeehaw! 😉 I’m currently on book number two in the series for the month of October.

I do believe I’ve convinced Jon that we need to wallpaper our bedroom! Haha! I’m set on this color and design and I’d love to hear what you have to think?!

As for what I’ve been sharing on socials for shopping…

Boy, it was a busy week for Prime Days and anytime I could create a mood board for my LTK and Pinterest, I would! Lots of good deals and lots of interesting finds out there! I’ve shared a handful of mood boards to scroll through, but there’s even more on my LTK. I’d love it if you shopped with me. I earn a small commission through purchases. Thanks so much!

Cozy Up with a Book

Last but not least, our Homecoming night last Friday was so much fun! Our little downtown looked great, there were so many members of the community out and about, Henry walked in the parade, the kids saw their friends at the Homecoming game and our football team won!

The morning after Homecoming, Henry had a big cross country meet at one of my favorite courses! The weather was perfect and Grandpa George and Grandma Terri came to watch!

After the meet we sat and had coffee for a couple of hours at an adorable little library coffee shop! It was really nice and relaxing.

Welp, time to go get some laundry done while I can. Thank you so very much for scrolling through! Have a beautiful Friday and enjoy your weekend!

Marie 🙂
