What’s Up Wednesday
Hello, Wednesday! It’s nice to see ya!
I’m linking up with Sheaffer and Shay for What’s Up Wednesday!
WHAT WE’RE EATING
WHAT I’M REMINISCING ABOUT
I’ve been thinking a lot about when I used to blog more about our home. I love home decor and I’m not going to lie, this whole “Coastal Grandmother” vibe going around the internet is my thing and I’m here for it. I feel seen! Ha!
WHAT I’M LOVING
I recently treated myself to a Mommy and Me photo session and I love these so dang much!
WHAT WE’VE BEEN UP TO
Eliza’s Celebration of Learning Night…
Eliza’s Birthday Celebration (we celebrated a little over a week early)…
Eliza’s dance recital…
Kayaking…
Jane and I picked out flowers and she dressed to the nines to do so…
End of piano lessons for the year…
Henry’s 5th grade recognition night. More on this later next week. We were so proud…
WHAT I’M EXCITED ABOUT
I’m soooooooooo excited for our upcoming camping trip and stay up in Glen Arbor, Michigan! We leave a week from tomorrow and we can’t wait to get up north! Northern Michigan is absolutely gorgeous. Although, last year, after a day of hiking, we saw a mama bear and her cubs…I’ll be purchasing bear spray this year. Yikes.
WHAT I’M WATCHING/READING
I’m not watching much at the moment. I’m just not sure what to invest our time into. I’ll take any/all suggestions!
As for reading, I just blogged about what we’ve read with the kids and what we’re excited to read with the kids. I’d absolutely love it if you checked it out!

WHAT I’M WEARING
I blogged about these purchases the other day. I’m loving dresses and I love when there’s lots of room for my…food babies. 😉 Haha!
WHAT I’M DOING THIS WEEKEND
Eliza and I have a Girls on the Run event bright and early Saturday morning! We’ll be running a 5K and I rumor has it, there will be hair chalk and girly hasn’t stopped talking about it!
Once we finish up with Girls on the Run, we’re heading home for a quick neighborhood garage sale and lemonade stand. Our neighbors are putting on their sale for three days, but I think the most we’ll participate is for 4-5 hours on Saturday.
We then plan to get out on the lake and relax and then on Monday, we’ll be celebrating Eliza on her 9th birthday!
WHAT I’M LOOKING FORWARD TO NEXT MONTH
Other than some much needed R&R, we’ll be preparing to host multiple families for the Fourth of July weekend! I feel like we’ve been prepping for months, which has been great because we’re checking off so many to-dos on our to-do list from 2017 (Ha!), but there’s still a lot to do! We have families coming from California, Texas, Illinois and from different places in Michigan.
We’re nervous and excited!
FAVORITE AMAZON FIND
My Father-in-Law wrote a book. Actually, a trilogy! Jon’s read it and has said it’s quite amazing. My FIL has written other books in the past, but this seems to really have his heart. I plan to read it this summer. Jon gifted him a few items to go along with the theme of his writing, one being a mug with…ahem, well…quite a profanity, so I’ll show the runner up mug that’s still super cute and hilarious!
My sister gifted me these chocolates and Jon just gifted them to his dad for his upcoming birthday. They’re delicious, so much so that I forgot to share mine with Jon…I mean, it was my birthday after all. 😉
Okay, there you have it!
Thanks, as always, for stopping by! I appreciate you guys so much!

I have that same Target dress and I loooove it! It's perfect for summer. After seeing you in the white one, I want it in white, too! The one I have is purple. Y'all have so many good things to look forward to and I'm excited to follow along!
So many of the book series you've listed are all favorites that my boys and I listened to or read together as well!
Isn't it so cozy and it washes well, too! I'm so excited for summer!!! I'm not ready for the whole middle school thing coming up, though! I'm determined to make this a fun summer and to stay present with the kiddos!
Thanks! Let me know if you can think of any other good ones!
