Weekend Favorites

Happy weekend, friends!

We’ve been enjoying this beautiful and warm Michigan September. The kids have been swimming in the lake every night this week and Jon’s been out water skiing in the evenings. The kids had friends over on Sunday for a lake day and the weather did not disappoint.

As for my blogging favorites, let me start by showing you a sneak peek of our family photos we had taken by, Jessica Wood Photography. She’s been taking our pictures for years now and when she posted about taking pictures in a canoe, I was all in! Actually, I’ve been wanting these type of pictures for years, since Henry and Eliza were itty bitty, after seeing a picture on Pinterest. I just never knew of anyone with a canoe, nor did I know of a photographer who’d take pictures like this at the time. I love how everything is still green with the contrast of the blue boat. I can’t wait to share more pictures, but here are a couple for right now! I love, love, love how they turned out!

I’ve gotten back into crafting this week, too. I’d love it if you joined me on Pinterest or Instagram to follow along. I love to craft. This time of year is always so much fun to get my creative juices flowing.

I made Dollar Tree Sock Ghosts and they took under 5 minutes and turned out so cute!

I then decided I was going to decorate Jane’s bedroom for Halloween, but without it being too spooky. Her bedroom has a cottage core vibe to it, so I came up with these shabby chic witch hats! She was so excited to see them when she got home from school!

While perusing the aisles of Walmart, I came upon cute little ghosts and I just knew they’d add to the cute little non-spooky Halloween vibe in Jane’s room. I grabbed some trim and little bows and gave these little ghosts a cute little makeover!

I’ve been adding to my LTK a lot more, too. It’s been fun to search online for products to put together for mood boards! It’s like window shopping and retail therapy, but without leaving the house and occasionally buying things. LOL!

I love this cozy little fall night board I put together. Someone buy me that robe. Yes, please!

As for decorating, I put together a neutral and blue board. It’s all easy and transitional even into the new year.

Oh and all the fall sweaters – I live in cozy fall anything and everything! I thought all of these were perfect heading into the cozy ‘ber months.

How’s your September been? Hot? Cooler? Are you ready for the chill in the air? I think I’ll be ready by next week.

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today! Have a beautiful weekend, friends!

Marie 🙂
