Prince of Wales Hotel and High Tea with Kids

Join me on our visit to Prince of Wales Hotel and High Tea with Kids!

Our journey to the Prince of Wales Hotel and High Tea meant that we’d be leaving Many Glacier Hotel in Glacier National Park – read more about that here – and heading north into Waterton, Canada. We had packed so many hiking clothes that I couldn’t remember if I had packed anything nice enough for High Tea and luckily we had just enough in our small little suitcases to pull of a decent look (Eliza was wearing the flannel due to it being a bit chilly in the morning).

This place was incredibly difficult to leave, but knowing we’d hiked our hearts out and would be rewarding ourselves with tea, sure was a treat!

We headed up the road and found Canada! This was the kids’ first time in another country!

The line through those trees – so cool!

We arrived at the Prince of Wales and boy, was it dreamy – it almost looked fake from the distance!

We checked out the lobby and the view from the lobby while we waited for tea – everything was so picturesque AND all the men wear kilts!

The view from our table…

Since we had made a reservation early we were given a table next to a window.

Our little dates…

We were given multiple options for tea and they would give us as much as we liked. They also had caffeine free teas for kids 12 and under.

Scones were brought out to us with jams, honey and butter – they were so good!

One of my absolute favorite pictures!

Once we finished with our scones, other amazing treats and finger foods were brought out. The kids were thrilled with this and I’m never one to pass on eating dessert before a meal!

We had some happy kids…

Eliza loves tea so much – sometimes she makes and takes tea to school from time to time.

This was a big treat for her!

Henry had never really had tea before. He ended up having quite a bit and loved it!

After tea, we ventured outside to get a look of the other side of Prince of Wales, the mountains and Waterton down below!

The scenery was stunning and we all made sure to get some pictures before heading out!

Mine and Jon’s turn – you can see more of Waterton to the right…

I love this picture of us! Also, it was a tad windy! HA!

I somehow managed to snap this photo without people in view! I love the rustic nature of it all, but the brightness of the green and yellow set alone in the middle of the mountains. Perfection.

Speaking of being in Canada…

We needed some coffee to continue our journey. When in Canada… 😉

We drove through Calgary, which was so fun – that’s one heck of a pretty and bustling area! It’d definitely be a fun place to fly into and visit, but we had to keep moving to get over to Banff!

We loved our quick little visit to Prince of Wales in Waterton, Canada! It was excit-TEA-ing! Hahaha!

Thanks for scrolling through!

Marie 🙂
