Friday Favorites

It’s Friday Favorites Time!

I’m joining in on the Friday fun with Andrea at Momfessionals and Erika over at A Little Bit of Everything.
ONE
Yesterday (March 25th) was our little Jane’s 3rd Birthday!
I’m not sure where three years have gone?!
I posted a quick little blog post celebrating our sweet girl and you can check it out HERE!
I love her little poses…
TWO
I’ve been blogging about our most recent trip to Universal Studios and Disney World!!!
I have a few more posts about our trip (another Magic Kingdom Day, Hollywood Studios and Epcot), but in the meantime, feel free to click on over and scroll on through our happy Florida memories!
THREE
After sixteen years of having the same patio set, gifted to us as a wedding present from Jon’s office, we finally decided it was time for a new one.  We’ll be keeping our old set, especially since it’s still in fantastic shape, but we’ll store it away and get it out for when we have extra guests.  Our old table served as our first dining room set, too.  Jon and I came out of college with nothing, actually lots of student loans – we were in the negative.  We were so grateful for that first patio set!
Since we’re now a family of five, we’ve struggled with extra seating while eating outside, which we often do – so we were in the market for seating for five.  We’re also hosting some company this summer for the weekend of the Fourth of July so we’ll most definitely have both sets out for all to be able to comfortably sit.
We bought six of these chairs and one table – all from Home Depot!
EEK! I’m so excited for the chairs to arrive!

FOUR

This sweet boy brought home paperwork for electives for middle school…and I’m not ready.  I’ve been talking to moms, educators and friends about what to expect and what “team” to put him on and what teachers will match his personality.  I want the best for him and I pray he has a beautiful middle school experience.  He’s so kind and gentle and loving.  He sits in bed at night and reads and attempts to understand Jon’s genetic books.  He wants to be good and he is a friend to all.  There are words he’s never heard of and that we don’t use and I know middle school is going to take all that hard work away, but I’m betting on the fact that he understands the rights and wrongs of the world.
Anyway, I’m rambling, but it’s something on my heart.
Here’s a picture of our sweet by during March is Reading Month wearing a shirt of a “place he’s visited.”
Man, I love him!

FIVE

Lastly I’m loving theses screenshots I took from Natasha over from her IG – Nashvilletash!  Her motivational IG stories get me going in the morning!

I struggle with this one as I’m a people pleaser, so this spoke to me…

Working on this…
THIS!!!!  Being almost 39, I’ve had to decide who to keep in my circle, and with my people pleasing mentality, it’s been rough, but totally worth it for my mental health!
There you go!
A Friday Favorites kind of day!
Woohoo!
Thanks so much for stopping by!
Marie 🙂

  1. Oh Marie, I'm having all the feels about middle school, too! Jacob and Henry seem so much alike and I'm having trouble wrapping my mind around the fact that he's going to be in sixth grade next year. HOW?! And yes yes yes to all of those screenshots. I'm a people pleaser, too, and it can be tough. So much wisdom in all three of those.
