Happy Friiiiiiiiiiiiday! It’s Friday – Shout it from the mountaintops! Alas, Friday has arrived!
Too much? Yeah, probably…
Are you ready for Five on Friday?
Let’s go!
{ONE}
Last week, Jon and I went on a date night to see Jim Gaffigan! Oh.My.Gosh. You guys, I thought my cheeks were going to fall off from laughing so hard! Seriously. If you’ve never met me in real life, just know that I’m sort of the female version of Jim Gaffigan, especially when it comes to food.
Blurry, grainy camera phone selfie in 3….2….1….

My jogging/running continues!
The big race is next Saturday and I’m super nervous. I don’t know why. I’ve ran (okay ran…and walked…) this race a few times before, but I’ve been getting butterflies in my stomach just thinking about it. Why is that? I mean, the only person I’m up against is myself.
Anyway, I’ve been trying to dedicate more time to running this summer. Last summer, I attempted to train at the eleventh hour and ended up messing up my left knee. #notworthit
The training has been paying off and I’m pretty proud of myself!
I’m not the fastest and I won’t be winning any prizes, but I’ve come a long, loooong way.

Speaking of running/jogging. This is my favorite little path. It brings back lots of memories; walking with Jon before we had kids, pushing a stroller with an itty, bitty baby inside while feeling completely overwhelmed and exhausted, watching both kids run through the leaves in the fall, and now jogging while soaking up all the precious moments that I’ve spent here.
It’s a little path, but it holds a special meaning in my heart.
{FOUR}
It’s fair time in our county! The kids have been waiting all summer to go to the fair. We usually take our time walking around the fairgrounds and go and visit all the animals.
….Not this year…
The kiddos were on a mission to find cotton candy!
They succeeded.
Give this boy some sugar and he’ll smile for days… 🙂
Next up were the fun houses and rides.
Henry loved the first fun house and he seemed to be pretty confident to take his little sister on the roller coaster. He even said, “I’ll keep Eziza (that’s how he says her name) safe!” He waited patiently in line and he was all ready to go until he realized that he had to give his tickets to a stranger. He then wanted nothing to do with the roller coaster. #strangerdanger #gameover
Poor Eliza was sooo excited to go, but we didn’t want her to go without Henry, as we knew he would keep her happy and sitting down. She left the ride crying, “Henwee keep me safe!!!”
No worries, we made up for it with this bad boy…
Eliza said that she wanted to ride the swings that swing around way up in the air for her next ride.
This girl has no fear.

Henry and I took Miss. Eliza for her two year pictures on Wednesday. I know, I know – I’m a little behind schedule. A little late than never, right?
Let me tell you that pictures have been difficult this last year and a half, so I’ve been a bit apprehensive to the whole “picture thing” and let’s face it, they aren’t cheap.
To my surprise, Eliza did great and the photographer even captured a few moments with both kids…and they were both happy…and smiling at the camera…at.the.same.time!
The photographer has been taking photographs of the kids since they were hours old. He and I were both thrilled.
Oh and Miss Eliza wore this cute little number…
Don’t worry, we left the boots and the bag at home. 🙂
Whoa! I can’t believe it’s already Friday! We’ve had an exciting week over here. Lots of fun stuff! Let’s get to it. {ONE} Earlier in the week I blogged about a couple of diy projects. I made a cedar shim sunburst mirror and I made a fake plant look real. Both were fun, easy and…
It’s Friday and guess what?! Everyone seems to finally be healthy again over here (knock on wood) and my dizziness and nausea have finally, finally seemed to have gone away – thank goodness. Let’s blog, shall we? Here we go with some Friday Favorites! {One} Shoes and Matilda Jane It’s been pretty darn cold here in…
It’s Friday and I’m ready to paaaaaaarty – link-up party, that is! 😉 Here we go with some Five on Friday fun! Bump Update! I feel like I should be doing these more often. Hmm… Anyway, here I am – just about to turn 22 weeks this weekend! My skin is itchy (something I had…
Happy Friday! I can’t believe it’s mid-November! How can that be? I also can’t believe that it’s already Friday! Let’s get to the par-tay! {one} Al Roker came to our town for Rokerthon 2 and it was pretty cool! Check it out here! {two} If you haven’t noticed, things look a little different around here…
Happy Friday! It’s almost time to kick-off the weekend and I seriously can’t wait, but first I need to share with you my Friday Favorites! {one} Let’s start here with this IG post from Madison Vining. This speaks to me…it really, truly speaks to me… LOL! {two} This week I shared some ridiculously cute and…
It’s Friday and I, for one, am ecstatic! We’ve been busy around these parts and I’m longing for a somewhat low key weekend with Jon and the kids. Jon does have a CE class tomorrow which is about an hour out of town, but we get him to myself today and we’re heading to breakfast…

Your kids are so sweet! That's so funny they love cotton candy, my kids won't touch the stuff!
You ran 6 miles?! Get it, girl!! I used to run cross country waaaay back, but I haven't run years, and I think I would die if I tried to run 6 miles all at once now. Lol. Good luck in your race… I'm sure you'll do great!!
Oh, and don't forget to post pics of the kiddos from the photo shoot! They are just so adorable!
Oh my your kids are absolutely adorable.. I've missed reading your Friday posts like these! Also good luck on your race this upcoming weekend, you will do great!! As for the running trail, I can relate to how precious they are. I have moved so many times that I don't generally miss the house I lived in, etc., but it's things like my running trails that I miss the most. So many memories and times of reflection happen on these trails!

Whaaaat?! Brayden and Ella don't like cotton candy?? I don't think I've ever met a kid who didn't like cotton candy!
