Easy DIY Tomato Cage Halloween Ghosts
Let’s make an easy DIY tomato cage Halloween ghost!
I love my little front porch ghost and I’m so excited to share how I made this sweet little fella!
I decided to try to make this tomato cage Halloween ghost as budget-friendly as possible!
I didn’t have a tomato cage on hand, some of you will (even better!). I found one at Goodwill AND I received an extra percentage off on that particular day! Score!
Next, I bought a 5 inch round styrofoam ball from the craft store. Here’s a link to some from Amazon. Then I hit up the dollar store and bought some battery-operated white lights and a plastic white tablecloth. As for the ghost’s eyes and mouth, I used black construction paper that I had sitting around. 🙂
These kind of lights are also available if you’re wanting to wrap the lights around the entire cage, but I just threw mine on there and that was that. LOL!

Next I used a rubber band, literally one from my ponytail I had been wearing, and wrapped it around the top of the tomato cage to secure the pokey ends (official name, I’m sure) together!

I then draped over the lights and then pushed the styrofoam ball into the pokey sides of the tomato cage…

Next up, I searched the house for any sort of black construction paper and cut out ovals for the eyes and mouth and attached them to the plastic table cloth with painter’s tape.

Mr. Ghost was looking nice and, well…not-so-spooky, but rather, like a very welcoming and friendly little ghost! 🙂

I seriously couldn’t wait for nighttime to come around so that I could go outside and check him out! Mr. Ghost was looking so great!

Look how fun this is! This sweet ghost could be easily seen from the road, too!
