This is it, friends – the last installment of my Disney Vacay Recap.
Have you had enough already or what!?
The last couple of days in Florida were bittersweet. On Wednesday we mostly hung out at our hotel. Don’t let the pictures fool you, it was chilly. We were the only brave souls to take on the cold air and wind. I think it topped out at 60 degrees on this particular day, but being from Michigan, we’d consider that a cooler summer sort-of-day.
So, we did what any crazy family from the Midwest would do, we put on our swimsuits and went for it! LOL!
It was indeed chilly and the wind didn’t help – so we weren’t able to utilize all the amazing outdoor water features that our hotel had to offer for as long as we would’ve liked.
We tried though, we really, really tried…
On Thursday we ventured over to Hollywood Studios.
Olaf was there to greet us!
Wait. Something’s missing…
Oh. That’s right.
He was just not having it.
We moved on and warmed up to our new surroundings and all was well with the world.
We had Fast Passed the Toy Story ride, and boy, I’m, once again, soooo happy we did. It was the best ride for our kiddos in all of Hollywood Studios and the line was already over an hour long…and it was only 9:30!
The kids looooved the Toy Story ride as well as all of the shows, especially the Disney Junior show!
We made sure to take a selfie to express our excitement!
Henry’s eyes lit up when all of the characters came out!
The Little Mermaid was a big hit!
Oh and these guys showed up…
The kids weren’t quite sure what to think of the Storm Troopers.
Seeing Sofia was a bit hit…but from a safe distance, of course!
Seeing Elsa and Anna and the entire Frozen crew was awesome and the show was adorable!
After Frozen, we hopped on, The Great Movie Ride, and then we hightailed it to our lunch reservations at Hollywood & Vine.
Ummm…what’s up with this?
He wouldn’t take a picture with the family and he didn’t want any pictures with any characters, but he took a selfie of himself licking his lips in anticipation of food!
Seriously, this boy Cracks.Me.Up!
Here they come!
Don’t mind all the food on Eliza’s face – the characters showed up at our table rather quickly!
After lunch we had plans to watch Beauty and the Beast. As I’ve mentioned before, this is my favorite Disney (princess) movie – I was pumped!
Whoever played the role of Gaston was the most amazing actor/singer/performer in history!
We all loved it. After the performance, I was trying to think of ways to move to Florida, as well as trying to figure out how I could audition to be a part of the show. Not because of Gaston, just because…well, because… Ahem…
Our last day was coming to an end.
We decided to stay and watch Fantasmic and you guys…YOU GUYS – this show was amazing!
It was the perfect ending to our entire trip. I highly, hiiiiiiighly recommend going to see this show if you go to Hollywood Studios.
Welp. That about does it.
Thanks for sticking around, friends!
I’ll be back this week with some non-Disney stuff…I promise…maybe…we’ll see… 😉
Welcome to my Disney recap! Oh my gosh we had a blast, but, unfortunately, our Disney vacation didn’t exactly begin as a fairytale. Hmmm, where do I begin? Well, remember how I told you guys that Jon had bought us airline tickets and how terrified I was to fly? Welp, all that anticipation and all…
Hey all. I’m back today with another recap from our Disney trip. Today I’m posting about day 3 of our vacation, but it’s not about Disney at all! Say whhhhhaaaat?! Jon had a conference Sunday morning and I stayed with the kids in our room until 11:00 a.m. Believe me, after our first day in…
Day 5, and the last day at Magic Kingdom, started off a bit rushed. I wouldn’t say we slept in, but it took us a little longer than previous days to get out the door. We had to be back in Fantasyland first thing in the morning for a Fast Passed ride, Peter Pan’s Flight….
Before I begin, let me start by saying that Henry was indeed on this trip with us. He preferred to watch the characters from a safe distance rather than having his picture taken with them. As a result, he’s not in as many pictures as Eliza. Believe me, he was having a blast, so no…
We’re going to Disney World! We’ve known for quite some time (about 7 months) that we’d be venturing to the “Happiest Place on Earth.” It’s now officially “go time” with all things Disney and what better way to start than with a Disney Paper Chain Link Countdown! I don’t know who’s more excited – me…
Today I’m coming to you with a list of Disney Must-Haves from Amazon! On our most recent trip to the Happiest Place on Earth, we packed some Disney necessities, some Mouseketools, if you will. 😉 These said necessities included some items we’ve used on our past Disney vacations and a few items that we should…
I have LOVED all your recaps!! Makes me so excited for us to go…whenever that may be… 😉
We loved the Toy Story ride too, the details Disney puts in to their rides/attractions is amazing, isn't it!? The Frozen show was hilarious! And I'm super jealous you saw Fantasmic! We tried but the kids just weren't having it so we left right before it was starting (damn kids) next time that is a must too!! I loved reading all your recaps, so glad you guys had an amazing time!!
Love all of this! It looks like you guys had the perfect trip and made the most wonderful memories! I'm sad to see that your recaps are over. :o( I've really enjoyed them since I'm getting to live vicariously through you. :o)
And in the pool at 60 degrees?! Aaaah!!!! We're usually wearing light sweaters when it's 60 degrees. Haha. I cannot imagine getting into the water when it was that cold!!
I love that you put your swimsuits on and enjoyed the pool regardless of the colder weather! When I was in college, a bunch of us went on spring break to the panhandle of Florida and it ended up being unseasonably cold there for March (think 50 degrees). We were all determined to sunbathe, so we hit the beach anyway. Anyway… Hollywood Studios looked like so much fun! We didn't make it there, sadly. I had no idea they had Disney Junior character meals! You guys had a perfect vacation. I'm bummed that your recaps are done!
Thanks, Lizzie! We had a great time and I can't wait to go again in the future!
Haha! It was awesome. 🙂
Yeah, we were a bit cray cray…but we couldn't pass up the opportunity. *Insert crazy emoji here* 😉
Haha! Oh my gosh. I did the same thing in college. In fact, it was snowing…in Florida…and went for it! It was freeeeeezing! Ha!
