We’ve had an exciting week over here. Lots of fun stuff! Let’s get to it.
{ONE} Earlier in the week I blogged about a couple of diy projects. I made a cedar shim sunburst mirror and I made a fake plant look real. Both were fun, easy and inexpensive. You can read more about both projects here.

This boy.
He may have to start wearing these glasses all the time due to the “adorable-ness” factor!

Speaking of Henry, he did something amazing this week. I know, I know…this is another #proudmamamoment, but I must brag about him. Besides, this could possibly not happen again for another year! You just never know with kids. LOL!
So, Henry likes to make books by using a stapler (with Mama close by, of course) and then he likes to draw/write on the inside and the outside of the “book.”
He handed me a bag and told me to unwrap it (he insists that I “unwrap” everything by using scissors to carefully cut it open). When I opened it, this is what I found!
Look.what.he.did!
The inside of the book is a roller coaster, obviously. 😉
He nonchalantly told me that he knows how to draw an M and an O now, so he wrote MOM. Really kid?! I guess their brains really are sponges.
That moment totally fell into the top 10 most memorable moments with/of him.
So proud, so proud… 🙂

We went to our nephew’s first birthday party over the weekend. The weather was gorgeous and the kids had a blast! Eliza loved playing on the swing set and running over to check on the pony! I love watching her play – so much sweetness.
Oh and my brother’s house is surrounded by these wind turbines. They’re always cool to see, not to mention the fact that Henry was thoroughly entertained for miles and miles! Very cool.

The boat is in!
Bring it, summer!
This picture was taken after our first boat ride of the year! The kids loved it and they were soooo well-behaved.
Now we just need warmer weather!
Thanks for stopping by! I sure do appreciate it. 🙂
Happy Friday! We had a rough start to the week over here. Being a parent isn’t easy. Fortunately, there are ways to remedy tough parenting days. One word: wine. Last night, while at the grocery store, I had an amazing idea to buy a bottle of wine and enjoy some vino while painting our…
Happy Easter Eve! Soooo…I kind of missed the real Five on Friday. This girl has been busy, busy, busy! Oh well, better late than never, right?! 😉 {one} I had some girls over last weekend for a “Pinterest Party” and we had a great time. We ate “Pinterest” snacks, drank yummy wine, and had lots of…
Happiest Friday of Fridays! Put on your party hats, people. ‘Cause it’s time to paaaaaartay! Let’s get started… {one} We’re headed to an indoor waterpark soon and I’ve yet to purchase swim suits! These are some of my favorites. Help a girl out and tell me which ones I should order…I just can’t decide –…
Hey all! Happy Weekend! I’m a little late to the party so let’s get right to it! {ONE} Henry finally caught his first fish! We had spent a total of approximately eight hours over two weekends in an attempt to catch one fish. We were soooo happy for our little…
Friday has arrived and boy-oh-boy the weekend seems to be heading in an interesting direction. The weather guy is calling for 3-5 inches of snow here on Saturday! I think I’m ready…I think… By this time last year, it was so, so, soooo cold. It’s been an absolutely stunning fall, so I’m willing to compromise…
Happy Friiiiiiiiiiiiday! It’s Friday – Shout it from the mountaintops! Alas, Friday has arrived! Too much? Yeah, probably… Are you ready for Five on Friday? Let’s go! {ONE} Last week, Jon and I went on a date night to see Jim Gaffigan! Oh.My.Gosh. You guys, I thought my cheeks were going to fall off…

Ooooooh I'm jealous of that boat! Growing up in Texas we lived on the lake, such a blast. Colorado has a lot, but not lakes! Happy weekend Marie :). Hopped over from the link up!
I loooove Henry's art! Isn't that just the most amazing thing watching your kids learn and grow?? I swear sometimes Jacob will do something and I look at it like he's invented the wheel or something! LOL.
P.S. I'm LOVING your new blog header! It looks fantastic, and polka dots are my favorite :o)
