Five on Friday and a Little Surprise!!!
It’s Friday and, wow, has it been a busy week!
Every evening during this past week I’ve been out and about; Little Ninjas, Girls Night, Dance Class, Wonder Night for Eliza’s school and tonight is our Homecoming! But, it doesn’t stop there – tomorrow we’re heading over to a friend’s house for a fun fall gathering.
On top of it all, Jon has been super busy at work and he’s away visiting with friends for the weekend. Not complaining at all. I’m sure I’ll just be in need of a back rub come Sunday evening.
Let’s get to all the Friday Fun before I have nothing left to give! Ha!
Homecoming week has been a blast this week!
Henry and Eliza go to separate schools. We no longer have neighborhood schools. That means that all of Young 5’s to 1st grade are in one building, 2nd and 3rd in another building and 4th and 5th in their own building.
I’m not sure how the schools have done things in the past, but for this year it meant that Henry and Eliza would have different spirit days. I was at first, a little frustrated, but it ultimately all worked out and the kids were totally on board for all of the fun!
Monday:
Henry – Fourth of July Day
Eliza – Mismatch Day
Tuesday:
Henry – New Year’s Eve Day (Dress Up Day)
Eliza – Tie Dye Day
Wednesday:
Henry – St. Patrick’s Day
Eliza – Disney Day
Thursday:
Henry – Halloween Day
Eliza – Decade Day
Oh this little lady!!!
Friday:
Henry – Valentine’s Day/Spirit Day (We chose to keep it simple with our red school shirt)
Eliza – Cardinal Fan/Spirit Day
Henry was feeling tired today (Friday) and a tad grumpy…hence the forced smile. Eliza, on the other hand, was loving another day of dressing up and rocking another side ponytail! LOL!
Our bathroom is coming together! WooHoo!!!
Now it’s just a matter of Jon finding time to get a few other things done so that we can call a plumber to get the sink all hooked up. I also recently purchased some organizing bins for this vanity and I CAN’T WAIT to put them to use!

I’ve been volunteering every Tuesday in Henry’s class.
At one point it was his turn to come out to the hallway with me for a little assessment. I couldn’t not grab my camera to snap a few pics, it was after all, New Year’s Eve Day, so we had to have a little bit of fun! 😉

My organizing is slowly, veeeeery slooooowly coming around.
I’ve now started in on cleaning out my “Monica closet” in our guest bedroom. It’s been a long time coming and it continues to accumulate more and more stuff…stuff I’ve either forgotten about or stuff I just don’t use.
This closet also houses all of our wrapping paper, gift bags, gift boxes, tape, etc. Which means that I’m now on the lookout for a wrapping paper organizational solution…which I’m kind of excited about!

Yup! It’s true!!!!!
Another little one will be joining our family in March!!!
We’re incredibly excited………..nervous, but excited!!! My sickness has finally, FINALLY subsided and I’m ready to have some fun with this pregnancy! Bring on all the maternity t-shirts!
